Four Unique Ideas For Breaks Here In The UK

Holidays in the UK aren’t what they used to be. Or is it that recently our minds have been opened up to new experiences? Anyway, sometimes people would prefer to jump on a plane and head off somewhere. That might even mean you are heading to the UK for a holiday. So with that in mind, here are some of the different unique breaks you can have in the UK. Maybe it will inspire you to think outside the box for your next jaunt.

Heading to a festival

Summer in the UK is well and truly festival season. With V Festival and Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds being some of the most popular. These can be an amazing experience and offer you a unique UK break. What they do is give you a chance to see a lot of live music and different entertainment in the one place. Many people camp and some even consider hiring a motorhome to make things more comfortable. You could even add motorhome awnings to help you make more of the space outside. It’s always best to be mindful of the great British Summer though when it comes to festivals. Glastonbury alone this year has suffered with a big mud bath due to rainfall. But if those type of things doesn’t bother you then pack up your raincoat and Wellington boots and experience something unique. You will have a blast!

Let’s go camping

Camping is another thing that you can do in the UK. You can decide on a “Glamping” trip where you have access to electricity and hot showers. Some resorts even offer luxury outdoor camping arrangements. Or you could go old school and camp out in a tent. The choice is yours. Camping is a popular thing to do when you have children or heading away with some friends. It can be a great experience to cook up your food on the camping stove and sit and look at the stars. A relaxing break amongst nature.

A vibrant city break

If you are more into your higher end of things then why not consider a city break. You could head to London and witness all the monumental sites. Or why not try one of the other major cities in the UK. Places like Manchester, Cardiff, and Edinburgh. Many of which have their historic sites that are worth visiting. It can be quite an educational break if you like to visit museums, or you may want to check out the bustling nightlife every great city has to offer.

Having fun at the beach

No one can deny that the UK has some pretty spectacular beaches. So if you are more intune with a holiday spent with sandy toes and sunsets, then Cornwall and Devon have some of the best beaches around. They offer a great unique break, as you get to experience a true english seaside getaway. Ice cream and fish and chips. What more could you want?

Let’s hope this has inspired you to consider something a little different when holidaying in the UK. Whether it is your home or you chose it, you will have a great time.
