A couple of months ago we were contacted by Roco Clothing to test out and review a couple of items from their Paisley of London collection. As I knew we had a family wedding coming up later on in the year, I jumped at the chance as their childrens clothes were absolutely beautiful and I knew that it would be easy for me to find the perfect outfit for Aoife.
With the event in mind, I narrowed down my choices to the Thea dress and the Blossom shoes, both of which I fell in love with.
Being heavily pregnant, an extravagant photo shoot was off the cards, so we decided to opt for a natural shoot in the garden; paddling pool and all!
The Thea dress is definitely something from a little girl's dreams and is the epitome of a fairytale princess. On the website it is described as a flower girl dress, but it can definitely be worn for parties. The bodice features beautiful embellishments and feather detailing, giving it a gorgeous whimsical vibe.
The tulle skirt is the perfect length for a toddler who loves to run and jump about; no need to worry about a long dress getting caught under their feet!
Due to the thin straps, this wouldn't be ideal for a winter event; we teamed it up with a lovely pink cardigan from JoJo Maman Bebe which a friend kindly gifted us.
The back of the dress features a zip fastening which is handy - there is nothing worse than having to tackle a toddler into a dress that goes over their heads!
In regards to keeping clean, the dress is dry clean only which does worry me, especially with the feather detailing. Here's hoping for no spillages!
The Blossom shoes are made of an ivory PU material and have a velcro fastening which is perfect and a lot more comfortable for little feet. The pearl covered satin bow finishes the shoes off and compliment the detailing of the Thea dress perfectly.
The PU material also make them easy to clean if they do get slightly mucky; there is nothing worse than white fabric shoes that get dirty in the mud!
Overall, the quality of these items are fantastic and the Paisley of London range is outstanding - I already have my eye on a few more items, including their gorgeous flower crowns!
Whilst we now no longer have a wedding to go to, I am sure that Aoife will be getting plenty of use from this outfit with all of the other family events we have lined up, along with her Christmas parties!
