100 Toys - Review

I hate to say it, but I can be a bit of a toy snob. If I had my own way, Aoife would only ever have had lovely wooden or fabric toys. But, when your child is absolutely obsessed with Peppa Pig you can't help but give in to their endless requests for the matching merchandise.
So far, my need for traditional toys has only gotten as far as a rocking horse that we got for her first Christmas, so when 100 Toys contacted me to take a look at their products I jumped at the chance.

100 Toys are based online and believe that the right toys can be important tools to your child's development. Along with toys, they offer free activities to help your child along too.
After taking a look at their website, I was hooked. Eventually I managed to narrow my choice down to the Oskar and Ellen Fairy Cottage (RRP £31.95) and instantly knew that Aoife (and myself) would love it! When the Fairy Cottage arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. As it is a fabric toy, I wasn't expecting great quality, especially as it was going to be posted out. I imagined that it would end up getting squashed about in the post and never being able to get it to stand upright! But I was certainly wrong; despite being made of fabric it is definitely durable and I can already tell that it will last a while, even with a destructive toddler.
The Fairy Cottage is part of a nine piece set and includes two fairies, a unicorn, carriage, along with detachable wings and skirts. When Aoife saw the cottage, the unicorn especially, her face lit up and I had a lot of excited screams to play with the "pony".
With myself being a massive unicorn obsessive, I have been slowly, but surely, trying to win Aoife round to my way of thinking. She now has a unicorn decorated bedroom (much to my husband's distaste) and this Fairy Cottage has completed it.
I also finally realised why people say "don't work with animals or children"; trying to get decent photos of Aoife playing was pretty much impossible - the child seems to constantly be on a sugar rush, despite no sugar!
Overall, I am very impressed with the Fairy Cottage and have been eyeing up a few other items on their website ready for Christmas; mainly from the Oskar and Ellen range!
