Give These Underrated Spanish Destinations A Chance!

Spain is by far one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, and there are a lot of good reasons for that. From the amazing weather, the beautiful landscape, and the breathtaking architecture to the vibrant culture and fascinating people, Spain is the kind of place that you can keep returning to time and time again and never run out of amazing things to do and see. However, a lot of people tend to end up focusing on the more obvious parts of the country. Now, there's nothing wrong with that, the more well-known parts of Spain are well known for a reason. However, it means that a lot of amazing parts of the country end up ignored. With that in mind, here are some parts of Spain that you may well want to check out next time you take a vacation.

Seville
Seville might be a place that you've heard off before but it's still not quite as popular as some of Spain's most visited areas. And that's a real shame because there are plenty of truly amazing things to do and do in Seville. From the incredible Cathedral to the Plaza de Espagna, it's the kind of place that's simply filled with amazing architecture and history. Plus, there are free tours in Sevilla that allow you to see all of the sights very easily. It's the kind of place that's kind on the eyes and the wallet.

Extremadura
Extremadura is without out a doubt the best-kept secret in all of Spain. Part of the reason for that is because it's a place with pretty limited public transport links. That might seem like a drawback but it's actually one of the best things about Extremadura since it means that you're going to be able to avoid the worst of the tourist rush. Plus it means that the natural landscapes of this area are still incredibly beautiful and it has some of the most impressive architectural sights in the entire country.

Aranjuez
If you have heard of Aranjuez, it's probably because of the Palacio Real, one of the most amazing and impressive buildings in all of Spain. And that alone would be reason enough to visit, but Aranjuez has plenty to offer on top of that as well. With wonderful quirky attractions like The Strawberry Train that runs to and from Madrid. It's the kind of place that really does show off all that's wonderful about Spain while still allowing you to avoid the tourist rush.

It can often be tempting to focus on places that you've been before and know intimately when travelling. After all, if you know what you're getting into you're not going to have any nasty surprises. However, the saying that fortune favours the bold is true and if you take a chance on somewhere that you have either never been or never even heard of then you could well end up finding your new favourite place that you want to return to time and time again.
