'If you go down to the woods today, you're sure of a big surprise'

Our third day at Bluestone brought about even more glorious sunshine; enough so that Aoife had the chance to get her legs out - something that certainly doesn't happen too often in Wales!

After breakfast we decided to check out The Adventure Centre to let Aoife run around and let off some steam. I'm not too sure what I was expecting from The Adventure Centre but I was genuinely blown away with the size of the place and the variety of activities available for little and big kids alike. Not only was the soft play the biggest that I have ever seen, there was also a full size giant bouncy castle (something which Aoife took a major liking to), crazy golf, a climbing wall, Sky Trail, a Lego wall (my favourite) and so much more. The Wildwood Cafe is also the perfect stop to refuel and charge your batteries with burgers, baguettes and other lunch items on offer.
For our lunch we went to check out Camp Smokey; we had tried to book in for the Smokey Joe Shindig that night but there was no availability at all. A top tip is to definitely pre book the Shindig - we were absolutely gutted to have missed out on it as it is meant to be amazing!
Camp Smokey is located in an amazing wooden shack deep in the woods - you can even sit outside and watch the zip liners zooming above your heads.
The menu is limited, however it is perfect for the rustic outdoor setting. We decided on the Pulled Pork Sandwich for the adults and the Hot Dog for Aoife - definitely the perfect choices. The service was quick and efficient which is definitely what you want with hungry kids! Also, the seasoned potatoes were out of this world! For our dessert we went for the marshmallow skewers which we had the chance to toast over the firepit.
The atmosphere at Camp Smokey was amazing and it was, hands down, my favourite place to eat at Bluestone. They even had panning for gold on offer too which I now wish we had done.
We decided to take the scenic route back to the resort via the nature trail which brought us out next to the lake. Aoife had a fantastic time exploring the woodlands whilst keeping her eyes peeled for bunnies and squirrels.
Towards the end of the trail we stumbled across a fairy village which I fell in love with; I'm hoping to be able to replicate something similar in our garden soon.
Once our walk was over we made a quick pitstop at the park before heading back to the lodge for tea and an early night (oh and a spot of hair dressing of course!).
