Winter Woodland Style with me&i- Review

If you know me, then you will know that I am a huge fan of "fast fashion" and wouldn't bat an eyelid at spending £50 on several items from Primark over one good quality peace. This is doing nothing for my bank balance as I get sucked in each time high street stores have new stock and end up having to replace items quickly as the quality is never the best.
When I was contacted by me&i clothing to try a couple of pieces from their new collection I was definitely intrigued. A Swedish company, me&i use high quality materials to create their unique and comfortable pieces. New collections are released twice a year, for both women and children. Their aim is for their children's wear to be something that parents naturally go to purchase for their little ones and for women to ensure that the pieces are versatile between day time and evening.
From their current collection I chose the Lovecats Tunic for Aoife and the Dots Everyday Dress for myself. The Lovecats Tunic caught my eye as I am a cat obsessed lady and loved the detailing on the long sleeves. With winter fast approaching, longer sleeves are essential for Aoife and something that we were lacking of in her wardrobe. The Dots Everyday Dress was something that I have similar of in my wardrobe already, just not in this pattern. I also loved the fact that this dress has pockets; something I don't have with my own dresses, so it would be perfect if it ever gets a bit chilly and I forget my gloves!
We woke up on Sunday to a frosty morning and decided to wear our new threads over to the local park. Aoife accessorized her tunic with a faux fur gilet, whilst I added a warm scarf to my dress.
The quality of the fabric was fantastic; it was nice and thick which is essential for the upcoming winter months and it seemed rather durable too. I didn't feel that I would have to worry about only getting a few wears out of each item.
The only thing that I was a bit disappointed with was the sizing; I am a size 8-10 and ordered the size XS and it was slightly too big on the back for me. However, this is more than likely due to my body shape as I am rather narrow across my back and shoulders. When wearing a jacket this isn't noticeable at all and can easily be styled to make it less obvious.
I absolutely adored the cut of Aoife's tunic; the frilled edges to the sleeves add a uniqueness to it which I've not seen before and the print itself is one that would stand out a mile away. The sizing for her was pretty good too and I know she will be able to get plenty of wear out of it!
Whilst me&i's collection is small, there are definitely a few more pieces that I want to add to my wardrobe soon!
*Disclaimer* We were sent these items from me&i in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
